Episode 1008: How does the LORD God cure our blindness?

Hello everyone. In tonight's Bible study we conclude our look into what God means when He declares that He blinds the unbeliever.

How does this process works and why would God do such a thing?

The easy answer is for the praise of His glory but I know that that will not help you understand the purpose for nor the methodology in conducting these activities.

However I do want give you this as an aid to understanding this process.
Job 12:7-16 (NKJV) 7 “But now ask the beasts, and they will teach you;
And the birds of the air, and they will tell you; 8 Or speak to the earth, and it will teach you; And the fish of the sea will explain to you. 9 Who among all these does not know That the hand of the LORD has done this, 10 In whose hand is the life of every living thing, And the breath of all mankind? 11 Does not the ear test words And the mouth taste its food? 12 Wisdom is with aged men,
And with length of days, understanding. 13 “With Him are wisdom and strength, He has counsel and understanding. 14 If He breaks a thing down, it cannot be rebuilt; If He imprisons a man, there can be no release. 15 If He withholds the waters, they dry up; If He sends them out, they overwhelm the earth. 16 With Him are strength and prudence. THE DECEIVED (sinner) AND THE DECEIVER (the demons) ARE HIS.

Do you understand what God just declared? If not then it will be difficult for you to understand the scriptures because you are reading it from a human perspective wherein God somehow become subservient to His creatures. While the scriptures declares just the opposite.

13 "But He is unique, and who can make Him change? And whatever His soul desires, that He does. Job 23:13

3 But our God is in heaven; He does whatever He pleases. Psalms 115:3

24 The LORD of hosts has sworn, saying, "Surely, as I have thought, so it shall come to pass, and as I have purposed, so it shall stand:…27 For the LORD of hosts has purposed, and who will annul it? His hand is stretched out, and who will turn it back?" Isaiah 14:24, 27

Once you understand this truth then answering a question like, "Does God blind people to keep them from believing the gospel?" becomes easy to answer.
