Madam Speaker, can I ask you real quick if you think the Jeffrey Epstein files should be released? Congress needs to release them. Absolutely. Why do you think Biden didn’t do it for four years? Do you know why they didn’t do it? Do you think they should have? Thanks. So, as you’ve probably seen, the Epstein files that’s really taken over the headlines. Do you think Congress needs to require DoJ to release the uh documents, the case files? Okay. Well, what I think is that, you know, Pam Bondi made quite a show out of what she had and we need a better explanation than what we’ve got. I think that if there’s information in those files that shows that somebody committed a crime, that there’s somebody that she has knowledge of that knowingly had sex with an underage girl, they need to be prosecuted. And I would hope that she would be doing that. And so whether you release the entire files, I mean, you can sometimes open a can of worms. If you were at an event, you don’t know Jeffrey Epstein, but your name is on a list because you’re in a a gayla that he was at, you could get attacked politically uh or otherwise, just guilt by association. And so, do you need to release everything? I don’t know. But anything that’s criminal, I think needs to be uh exposed. And so whether it’s a bipartisan panel that looks at it and says, “Okay, um, yeah, I I don’t see anything here that needs to necessarily be made public because it could disrupt people’s lives unnecessarily,” then, you know, maybe not. But if there’s criminal activity that’s not being prosecuted that should be, then that’s wrong. Some have said that during the bid years, the DoJ should have released at least some of the uh, case files. Are you in agreement with that? Well, it depends on on the content. You know, transparency is good to the American people, and I think that’s what they want. People want the truth. Uh, you know, there’s some things, especially in defense, that it can put people at risk for uh by releasing them. And so, in this case, I again, I think that if there’s crimes being committed that are being covered up or somebody’s being protected, then that’s wrong. And so, we need to know whether or not we can trust what Pam Bondi said. You know, I think she came out acting like she had something here that, you know, there’s a lot to see here and now there’s nothing to see here. And I don’t think that sets well with people. So, she needs to clean that up. I would say the same thing Pete Haggath and what happened with the exposure of the was signal was it, you know, where where they were talking about the attack, you know, I think that that shouldn’t have happened that way. And I think he should say that shouldn’t have happened. It won’t happen again. The mission was a success thankfully, but there needs to be accountability. And so in both these cases, I think it leaves a bad taste in people’s mouth because the transparency is not what it should be. So whether the file should be released, I don’t know. But should people look at them to be satisfied to say, “Hey, I looked at them and you know, we’re we’re good here.” I think, you know, it could harm people unnecessarily because they’re they didn’t do anything wrong, but people will go after them because that’s what people do. Does that make sense?
