Episode 41 features Coach Matt Majkrzak, the head men’s coach for the Northern Michigan University Wildcats. Coach Majkrak is entering his seventh season as the head coach at NMU. Under Majkrzak’s tutelage the Wildcats have improved from their 2019-2020 13-17 overall record & 9-11 GLIAC record, to a 22-10 & 13-7 record for the 2024-2025 season. Recognized as one of the best teachers of set-plays & pressure man-to-man defense in NCAA men’s basketball, Coach Majkrzak was awarded the 2022-2023 GLIAC Coach-of-the-Year.

Coach Majekrzak's Bio:
- In 2024-25, Majkrzak led the Wildcats to their third consecutive GLIAC championship, winning the conference tournament as the No. 4 seed.
- In 2023-24, Majkrzak was named the GLIAC Coach of the Year following a 22-11 season that saw the Wildcats make its second straight NCAA Tournament appearance.
- The Wildcats won the outright GLIAC regular season title for the first time since 1992-93 and hosted the GLIAC Tournament for the first time since then as well.
- He is only the second leader of the program to be named conference Coach of the Year, joining Dean Ellis in 1993.
- In the 2022-23 season, Majkrzak led the Wildcats to its first GLIAC Championship in 23 years.
- Majkrzak guided the 'Cats to a stellar 18-12 season in 2021-22, winning nine of their last ten to reach the GLIAC Championship game for the first time since 2000.
- Majkrzak coached the Wildcats to the most three-pointers in program history (292) as well as tying the record for most threes in a game (18 vs. UW-Stout).
- In the 2019-20 season leading the Wildcats, he helped guide the team to a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Semifinals appearance after the team upset #11 and the league's top-seeded team, Ferris State University, in the quarterfinals.
