Occam’s Razor Gardening, Cooking & Canning Ep 60

Welcome. It’s raining pretty good and it disrupted some of the recording where the camera just arbitrarily stopped and started again, not that you missed much.

Yesterday’s Turmeric spray with ¼ milk has revitalized the plants for another couple of days. As some of the lower squash leaves start to yellow from lack of sun and come to the end of their life, it’s important to keep the inevitable mildew at bay as long as possible in the humid climate of Quinte West. The longer we can keep the vines healthy, the more produce we can get:

I’ll be harvesting a couple of more zucchinis today, but not enough to can, but by tomorrow, there will be.

Butch is the first sunflower to start its flower. He’s got a live cam for the time being.

The Pumpkin plants are starting to flower, so we’ll make sure it’s flowers get assistance and that the vine producing the squash is not too far off the ground.

The Morning Glories have filled the front lattice far sooner than last year. I expect it's the banana water that the garden has been fed this year.

Please join me in the garden.
