DIGITAL ID: A 'Trust Framework' or a 'Checkpoint Society'?

The UK Government has quietly admitted it holds thousands of documents regarding its involvement in global digital governance and various digital ID programmes led by the United Nations and the World Economic Forum, whilst increasingly ministers advocate these for our safety and protection from terrorism, illegal migration and fraud. However, what is the story on the flip side of the coin? Is the prospect of Digital ID really for our benefit or is it the makings of an enemy?
