elcome. The raspberry bush is still providing snacks. The pepper plants are giving me more peppers than I need for canning, so that is excellent. The black flea beetles continue their pestilence on the potatoes, but the mitigation seems to be slowing the damage enough for the tops to continue to grow. The beans look like they’re about to start producing given all the flowering these past few days.

The Zucchini continue to be the favourite target of the vine bore egg laying, but checking the leaves 3 – 4 times a day seems to be working to remove them. The beetles stick to the younger leaves to give their brood a feeding chance, so they’re usually in the same areas to find.

The Squash boxes are squashing. So far, only spaghetti squash and the giant summer squash have been spotted of the 5 types I planted.

Butch is starting to flower before the other two sunflowers in the front garden box. We should see some Pumpkin flowers today or tomorrow. And the morning glories are climbing like mad.
