Mary: Trusting God with the Unknown

If someone were to ask you, “How do I trust God in my life when I don’t know what the future holds? How would you answer them? Luke 1:26-38 tells the story of the angel Gabriel appearing before Mary and telling her she has been chosen by God to give birth to the Son of God. Imagine what must have been racing through her mind: “I am betrothed to Joseph, how in the world am I going to explain this to him, or to my parents, or to everyone in the village? What are people going to say about me? Facing a situation with immense uncertainty and unknown consequences, Mary chose to trust God’s will for her. She knew what saying yes would cost, but she still did it.
