There will be NO House vote on releasing the Epstein files before the August recess

Speaker Mike Johnson says there will be NO House vote on releasing the Epstein files before the August recess.

CNN’s Manu Raju pressed him: “So no vote on this resolution before August?”

Speaker Johnson: “No. No.”

Johnson said there’s “no daylight” between House Republicans and Trump on transparency and reiterated that the administration is already moving to release “all the credible files.”

“He has said that he wants all the credible files related to Epstein to be released. He’s asked the Attorney General to request the grand jury files of the court.”

But for now, Johnson says Congress will sit tight:

“My belief is we need the administration to have the space to do what it is doing.”
