On July 22, 2025, a federal judge sentenced Hankison to 33 months in custody, followed by 3 years of supervised release. That’s a much stricter sentence than what prosecutors initially suggested—just one day in custody and three years of probation. The judge emphasized that Hankison’s actions put multiple people in serious danger.
