POLICE BRUTALITY? On February 19, 2025, 22-year-old William McNeil Jr. was brutally beaten by Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office officers during a traffic stop, captured in a viral video. Pulled over for allegedly not using headlights, McNeil was forcibly removed from his car, punched, and injured, sustaining a chipped tooth and concussion. Civil rights attorneys Ben Crump and Harry Daniels are now suing JSO for excessive force and racial profiling. This incident adds to JSO’s troubling history of alleged brutality.
