Central District police successfully located and returned tefillin of great sentimental value

Central District police successfully located and returned tefillin of great sentimental value to their owner in Modi’in.

Officers from the Modi’in station carried out a special and meaningful operation last night after receiving a report from a resident of Modi’in Illit about tefillin that were lost after he accidentally left them in a hitchhiked vehicle, without knowing the identity of the driver.

The officers were moved to hear that the tefillin had belonged to the man’s father, who had passed away several years ago. They promptly launched an accelerated effort, together with other units at the station, to identify the vehicle owner (who was also trying to locate the owner of the tefillin), eventually leading to the emotional return of the tefillin to their rightful owner.
