Viral Jacksonville Traffic Stop - The COMPLETE Story

Recently cell phone footage of a February traffic stop went viral. The footage recorded by the driver, William Anthony McNeil Jr. shows his perspective of two officers responding to the stop that began when McNeil was pulled over for a headlight and seatbelt violation in Jacksonville.

After the viral response to the video, the Jacksonville Sheriffs office release the body camera footage of the responding deputies. This footage tells the complete story, and shows McNeil’s combative behavior, resistance and refusal to follow the deputy’s lawful orders. McNeil was in possession of marijuana and deputies also found a large hunting knife in the vehicle.

The footage prompted a criminal review that ended with prosecutors clearing the law enforcement officials of any wrongdoing.
