Improving the Cat Powered Creeper Farm (And How to Build it Yourself)

The Blocks you'll need are:
552 platform blocks (69 per platform)
744 trapdoors (93 per platform)
160 carpet (20 per level)
8 cat slabs total
757 roof blocks
collection system block count
271 Blocks
55 Slabs
12 hoppers
8 fence gates
3 chests

Please let me know if you know why it's less efficient in my survival world, I'm assuming it's because if the height, since that's the only thing that I can think of that is different.
