Smith: “I can’t imagine we’re going to get a statement from the Trump Administration that says they’re feeling the heat of their actions, Mark.”
THIESSEN: “Yeah. You know who was feeling the heat? The Jewish students at Columbia University who couldn’t get to the buildings for their classes, or couldn’t access buildings because they were being occupied by the pro-Hamas protesters that Khalil was leading. You don’t get to come to this country to lobby on behalf of a terrorist organization. And now he’s on Capitol Hill lobbying on behalf of a terrorist organization. You know, Hamas is — keep in mind, he’s lobbying on behalf of people who are holding — still holding hostages, who — who massacred, you know, almost 2,000 Israeli citizens on October 7th. And you know, you don’t have a right to be in this country to do that if you’re a foreign citizen. This points to something that we need to confront, which is that we don’t just — under the Biden Administration, we didn’t just have an illegal immigration problem, we had a legal immigration problem, because we were bringing in people into this country legally through the student visa process who hate America, who are anti-Semites, who hate — who hate Jews, who hate Israel, who want to destroy Israel, and they were coming into this country legally and given student visas so that they could, you know, be on college campuses. We’ve got to reform the student visa process and make sure that we’re not importing into this country activists who are spreading anti-Semitic bile and harassing our citizens when they’re trying to get an education in their own country.”
