The people of Israel, despite having seen the mighty acts of God in freeing them from Egypt and bringing them across the Red Sea, grow impatient on the journey and complain to God and to Moses. On the journey of life, the same can happen to us, and the difficulties of virtue can make us think that the life of sin is better. This is a dangerous temptation.
