Disgraced food journalist Nina Greaves receives a mysterious invitation to an exclusive underground dining experience in Chicago. Desperate to revive her career after exposing a scandalous culinary conspiracy, she joins three other guests for a meal hosted by August Renner, a former sommelier with a dark reputation. The evening's centerpiece is an exotic meat course that promises to be unlike anything they've ever tasted.
