Gen 43:2-5 NLT

2 When the grain they had brought from Egypt was almost gone, Jacob said to his sons, “Go back and buy us a little more food.”
3 But Judah said, “The man was serious when he warned us, ‘You won’t see my face again unless your brother is with you.’
4 If you send Benjamin with us, we will go down and buy more food.
5 But if you don’t let Benjamin go, we won’t go either. Remember, the man said, ‘You won’t see my face again unless your brother is with you.’ ”

The Word of God To Meditate On Today
Gen 43:2-5 NLT Behind Every Seemingly Ordinary Issues Of Life Is God's Controlling Arm
It is important to know that what you ate yesterday is not sufficient to keep you alive today so, you will always need a meal for today. That was why Jesus said "give us this day our daily bread" Matt 6:11. Secondly, because God rules in the affairs of life, He creates needs/circumstances through which the steps of the called are ordered. We see the supplies of the Jacob family exhausted thus creating the need to go back to Egypt to get more food. Destiny was calling, Joseph was yet to reveal himself to his family and the family needed to be preserved in Egypt Ps 105:16-19, 23. If we are sensitive enough, we will go with the flow under God's watchful eyes!

11 Give us this day our daily bread.

16 So God decreed a famine upon Canaan land, cutting off their food supply.

17 But he had already sent a man ahead of his people to Egypt; it was Joseph, who was sold as a slave.
--
18 His feet were bruised by strong shackles and his soul was held by iron.
--
19 God’s promise to Joseph purged his character until it was time for his dreams to come true.
23 Then Jacob, with all of Joseph’s family, came from Canaan to Egypt and settled in Goshen.

Personal Supplication
Father, in the name of Jesus, help me sense when You are ordering my steps so that I may go with the flow! Ps. 37:23

23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: And he delighteth in his way.

Weekly Protection Covenant Declaration
Because I dwell in the secret place of the most High, I Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: My God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver me from the snare of the fowler, And from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover me with his feathers, And under his wings shalt I trust: His truth shall be my shield and buckler. I shall not be afraid for the terror by night; Nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walks in darkness; Nor for the destruction that wastes at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, And ten thousand at thy right hand; But it shall not come nigh thee throughout this week in Jesus' name!

Only with my eyes shalt I behold And see the wicked receive their rewards. Because I have made the LORD, my refuge, Even the most High, my habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, Neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For God shall give his angels charge over thee, To keep thee in all my ways. They shall bear me up in their hands, Lest I dash thy foot against a stone. I shall tread upon the lion and adder: The young lion and the dragon shalt I trample under feet. Because I have set my love upon God, therefore will He deliver me: He will set him on high, because I have known His name. I shall call upon Him, and He will answer me: He will be with me in trouble; He will deliver me, and honour me. With long life will God satisfy me, And shew me His salvation. So shall it be for me and my household throughout this week in Jesus' name!
