Because Life Doesn’t Come Back

“Smile, Before It’s Too Late”

In a small village nestled between the hills, there lived an old man named Hari. He was known for one thing — he never smiled. Even as a child, Hari had always been serious, focused on work, responsibilities, and achievements. People around him would often say, “Hari, life is short, smile a little.” But he would reply, “I’ll smile when everything is perfect.”

Years passed. Hari built a house, raised children, earned money, and became a respected man. But he never allowed himself to laugh freely or enjoy small moments.

One day, Hari fell seriously ill. The doctor said he had only a few weeks to live.

Sitting on his porch, weak and silent, Hari watched children play, birds sing, and the sun set over the mountains. His granddaughter came to him and asked,
“Dadu, why don’t you ever smile?”

Tears welled up in his eyes. “I thought I had time. I kept waiting for the perfect moment… but life doesn’t wait.”

She held his hand and smiled brightly, “Then smile now. It’s not too late.”

For the first time in many years, Hari smiled. It was a tired smile, but it came from the heart.

From that day until his last breath, Hari smiled every morning and reminded others:

> “Life never comes back. Don’t wait for perfect days. Be happy now. Smile — because today is a gift.”

Moral of the story:
Don’t postpone your happiness. Life is short — so smile, love, and live every moment.
