🎸Rock Legend Ozzy Osbourne Dies at 76 – Remembered for Deep Ties to Judaism and Support for Israel

Beyond the stage, Osbourne and his family also maintained strong and vocal ties to the Jewish community and the State of Israel, connections that resonated deeply within Jewish circles around the world. Osbourne had done several concerts in Israel, despite facing lots of pressure from the BDS movement, not to sing in Israel.

“We were brought up in basically a Jewish household,” Sharon told The Jewish Chronicle last month. “My family, my father’s family, my aunt, my cousins, are all Jewish. And observant Jews who practice and love their religion. So Judaism is the only religion I have, and the only one with which I feel comfortable.”

That identity has shaped both Sharon’s and Ozzy’s public stance on Israel. The couple have never bowed to pressure to boycott Israel and have proudly performed there. Sharon once responded to critics by saying, “I’m half a Heeb; we play where we want to play.”
