Rabbi Lando complained to the U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee about “the arrest warrants issued by the Israeli judicial system against yeshiva students for the ‘offense’ of Torah study.”

According to the rabbi’s office, the ambassador responded: “I understand and agree that without Torah scholars, nothing has value.”
