Colossians - Chapter 3 Summary:

Colossians chapter 3 urges believers to set their minds on things above, not on earthly things, since they have been raised with Christ and their lives are now hidden in Him. Paul instructs them to put to death their old sinful nature—such as sexual immorality, greed, anger, and slander—and to clothe themselves with virtues like compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, patience, and, above all, love. He calls for unity and peace within the body of Christ, encouraging them to let the word of Christ dwell in them richly, teaching and admonishing one another with wisdom through psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. The chapter also provides guidance for Christian households, urging wives and husbands, children and parents, and even slaves and masters to treat one another with respect, sincerity, and in a manner that honors the Lord in all things.
