Colossians - Chapter 4 Summary:

Colossians chapter 4 concludes Paul’s letter with practical instructions and final greetings. He begins by urging masters to treat their slaves justly and fairly, remembering they too have a Master in heaven. Paul calls the believers to devote themselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful, and to pray specifically for him so that he may proclaim the mystery of Christ clearly. He encourages wise conduct toward outsiders and gracious, seasoned speech. The chapter ends with personal greetings from Paul’s companions, including Tychicus and Onesimus, and mentions others like Aristarchus, Mark, and Luke. Paul closes with a reminder to Archippus to fulfill his ministry and signs off with a personal note written in his own hand, asking them to remember his chains and ending with a blessing of grace.
