The sentencing hearing for Bryan Kohberger in the Idaho 4 case has been long awaited.
This tragic and heartbreaking case shook the entire country, and today we’re one step closer to justice. In this video, I’ve included coverage of the court hearing where victim impact statements were shared and the judge addressed Kohberger directly.
Here's a brief recap of the case in my own words — just to help anyone new understand how we got here:

🧾 Case Timeline (written naturally)
In the early morning hours of November 13, 2022, four innocent University of Idaho students were brutally murdered in their off-campus home in Moscow, Idaho. It was a crime that stunned the quiet college town — and honestly, the entire nation.
For weeks, there were more questions than answers. But by late December 2022, authorities arrested Bryan Kohberger, a 28-year-old PhD student at Washington State University, just across the border in Pullman. He was studying criminology — yeah, let that sink in.
The arrest happened at his parents' house in Pennsylvania. DNA evidence, cell phone records, and surveillance footage tied him to the scene. He was extradited back to Idaho, and in May 2023, he was formally indicted on four counts of first-degree murder.
Now, after months of hearings, delays, and emotional moments from the families, we arrive at today’s sentencing hearing. No verdict yet — he hasn't gone to trial — but today's hearing was still powerful and necessary.
