50 Plus Firings?!?! Stress Testing The 6PRS Moses With Starline Brass

In this video we are testing to see how many firings a Starline 223 brass can last in the 6PRS Moses. We are running a 108 grain ELD Pew from Hornady with 29 grains of Varget Powder. Annealing brass only when needed. Trimming brass only when needed.

Concerning pressure, while there are no standardized computerized pressure tests involved in this evaluation, widely accepted industry guidelines are followed to assess safe pressure levels. According to the Hornady Reloading manual, key visual indicators of excessive pressure include ejector swipes, heavy bolt lift, and primer cratering.

It is important to note that published load data values are generalized and may not be suitable for every firearm. Variations in chamber design, barrel tolerance, and overall firearm construction can cause pressure to behave differently from one platform to another.

In the case of the Moses Cartridges being discussed, pressure signs have been observed in some non recommended or experimental load configurations. However, the cartridges recommended for use have not exhibited any of the standard signs of excessive pressure- such as ejector marks, difficult bolt lift, or primer deformation- based on observed results.
