Gravestone Precision - Amazing Range, Terrible Performance!

I finally made it down to Gravestone Precision!! What an amazing range. This place is totally awesome. But, I totally fell apart and had a terrible performance on Saturday.
So, I have to see a place to build a mental map and get familiar with how things work. This was my first time here and just getting from stage to stage and dealing with the heat and poor clothing choices eventually caught up and when I should have been getting settled in the groove, I was just crashing out and falling apart, lol.
I guess I decided to just squeeze every poor decision into one match.
Only got about 40 minutes of sleep the night of it. Drove over 3.5 hours after that short sleep to get to the location and then was late because GPS kept losing signal and I arrived just before the match brief. Got signed in and boogied up to the briefing. I realized there are about 50 people here!!
Most I have ever seen at a match. Pretty standard for this location I found out later. But it was a shock to me after the smaller attendance I have gotten comfortable with. So, we get right into the first stage which is when I fired my rifle for the first time since the last match!
All good, I just wanted to see the place and get a feel for it.
I am for sure going to go back when I can. It is a longer drive than I expected and the lack of sleep really starts to hit when I am out in the sun for 5 hours and it hits the mid 90s. I was totally dragging by the end of the day, lol. I looked pitiful, I am sure.
I gave up filming with my second camera, it was just too much work to set it up and take it down. Sorry, but that was on me.

If you ever get the chance to go to Gravestone, take it!! Great people and a really cool location. Hills, valleys, trees, rocks, multiple ranges for pistol, ARs, and of course, longer range PRS events. I bet there are nearly 20 stages pre-set and they just pick 8 for the matches. I can go 2 more times and may not shoot the same stage!! Worth the trip, I just need to plan better and get more sleep, lol.
