Kensington is a residential neighborhood in Brooklyn and has a large Muslim population living here. Despite that its not too big of a neighborhood, Kensington is in central Brooklyn bounded next to Borough Park, Mapleton, Midwood, Flatbush, and Windsor Terrace.

Kensington is a really diverse neighborhood with Bangladeshis, Pakistanis, some Indians, Central Asians (such as Uzbeks, Kazakhs, Afghans etc.), Hasidic Jews, Orthodox Jews, Mexicans, Several other Hispanics/Latinos, some Arabs from the Middle East, some Chinese, Thais, and a growing population of white urban professionals (also known as hipsters). Yes, you read that just now. Kensington is an affordable neighborhood in central Brooklyn, but is surprisingly experiencing a small level of gentrification due to luxury apartments built, hipster cafes, hip-style restaurants, and new residents moving in. It's next to Windsor Terrace, Flatbush, and close to Park Slope.

However, Kensington is currently a working class community with warehouse jobs and blue-collar jobs with people working each day.
