Why would Russell Stover have Red dye #40 in their stevia pecan delight chocolate?

we’ve been on a sugar-free and bleached wheat free diet for going on two years now I’m personally a chocolate lover. We found this Russell Stover’s sugar-free brand and actually the sugar-free is Stevia, which is even a better plus that’s the best non-cane sugar sweetener that I know of in their candies and I really like their pecan product, but it has food dies on it. Why does a a candy company have to put petroleum base dies in chocolate makes no sense. Most of all the other ones are fine, but not the pecan delight, which is my favorite hopefully RFK Junior role talk sense in them and they will stop putting it in.
