Shin Pain Ain't About The Shin Pt. 1
This is Part 1, check my page for part 2. Shin splints is basically glued down muscle to the bone and other muscle fibers, which means the muscle fibers can't slide past each other and function correctly. This is due to dysfunction of ankle and hip mechanics. Releasing the tight muscles of the lower leg helps improve ankle mechanics and muscle function..... in part 2, there's the hip stuff that is often contributing more to everybody's favorite shinny-shin-shin issue. Lastly, strengthening the muscle of the calf, Anterior tibialis, peroneus longus, and fibularis (lower leg stuff) helps tremendously. Focus on strengthening muscles of supination especially (peroneus muscles)
