Palm Beach County, Florida – On 08/11/2024, police observed a vehicle unable to maintain a lane and accelerating and braking rapidly, driving carelessly. The vehicle also matched the description of a BOLO for a hit and run crash with reckless driving. A felony traffic stop was conducted, with multiple commands given to the driver to turn off the vehicle. The driver refused to comply with police commands, ultimately agreeing to exit the vehicle after additional units were called to the scene. Once he exited the vehicle, the driver revealed he had a 13 inch hunting knife on his person. The driver then continued not to follow commands and began to resist. He was grappled to the ground and tased in order to be detained. He was arrested and charged with being a felon in possession, resisting, and driving without a license.
