Volunteer Trail Work

Once or so a week, I volunteer at a nearby Colorado State Park.

I do just about the same work as the paid trail crew. A common job these days is invasive weed control. Today I spent several hours pulling mullen, toadflax and thistle.

Most days there comes a time when I get a happy moment. Often it seeing wild flowers. Today was a couple of Fireweed plants holding their own against an onslaught of invasive weeds.
