Artificial Reality - Open Panel

Artificial reality is a contradiction in terms, yet it is the best way to describe what has been carefully constructed over the past five centuries or so. The rise of print media and the creation of reading societies resulted in those who wish to enslave their fellow man realizing they could do so merely by enslaving his perception of reality. They learned they could build an entire artificial world inside the mind, one that is severely contrasted from a reality they are unable to see. We live on a ball that spins, but there is no curvature, nor can we feel any motion. We are told we are free and we own our property, but we must continue to pay for it and use it as we are told. We evolved from monkeys, but monkeys still exist without any transitory species. Outer space is a vacuum and planets are physical, yet we only ever see CGI and hear "Trust me bro, smarter people than you know better". The air of authority can sell garbage as a delicacy.
