South Park is Back! (Except, it Never Left)

Sure, it went on hiatus, but that’s not what I’m talking about.

There’s been a lot of talk about South Park returning to form, because they bashed Trump in their season premiere.

The left is celebrating like mad, cheering on Matt Stone and Trey Parker.

I think this plays into how Trump was elected in 2024, actually.

Because people have the memory of a goldfish, they have no concept of anything outside of NOW.

Immediacy.

What’s happening tomorrow?

Don’t know, don’t care.

What happened yesterday?

Don’t know, don’t care.

So, even though Trumps first presidency was an unmitigated disaster, inflation was high, so despite all reason and logic, 70+ million people voted for the worst possible option.

Same with liberals, and South Park.

South Park roasted the left non-stop for years.

PC Principal, Strong Woman, Joining the Panderverse...

Because the left was so absurd, it was ripe for mockery.

Liberals pouted, because they were being exposed, and no one likes having their true identity shown to the world.

Now, given that conservatives worship Dear Leader beyond all reason and logic, the right is a prime target.

As I type this, the left is wringing its hands in anticipation of the next episode.

Thing is, Matt & Trey might write something completely apolitical.

Who knows what the next subject will be?

Just because they exposed Trump for who he is in the season premiere, doesn’t mean they’re going to do a barrage of episodes mocking him.

MAYBE they will, but who knows?

Best to just sit back and enjoy the show for what it is.

Because it is the best show on television, and has been for years.
