How to Measure Non-HE Laundry Detergent into a HE Clothes Washer-Date: 11/5/2020

This is a short video to show you how to measure non-HE laundry detergent into a HE (High Efficiency) Washer. Mine just happens to be the front load style. But this can work in all HE washers. Never use the full scoop of non-HE detergent in a HE washer because it will cause an over-sudsing issue. Keep in mind you may need to adjust your amounts because you may have a larger or smaller style washer than I do. Adjust the measurements accordingly. You might have to use a little bit of trial and error to get it right. This is just meant to be a starting point for you to try. This is only meant to be used as a guide so you can use regular detergent in your washer. The downy dispenser ball in the video is used in my old washer because we kept it to was things like rags and rugs in it.

Warning: Check with the manufacture of your washer to find out if any warranty you may still have on your washer could be void if you use a non-HE detergent in your HE washer. If you don't have a warranty on your washer, then you really don't have anything to lose.
