Commercial Pilots and UFOs

October 2016, Goodnow was the pilot of a flight from Memphis to Los Angeles.

His Airbus 320 was carrying nearly 200 passengers. It was just beautiful weather out, nice, smooth conditions, and I was just kind of scanning the sky, and I was looking back towards the lights of Phoenix.

That's when he says he saw a strange object in the distance.

I noticed an orange spherical shape. It was brighter than any of the lights on the ground and brighter than any of the lights in the sky.

And it was in an unusual position. It was right on the horizon.

It just looked different than anything in the sky.
