The Purpose of Giving, Part 1 (Money Matters Series #2)

While we no longer do it at Grace Baptist, we used to pass the offering plates during the services. Pastor was sometimes asked by, especially by the younger kids, “What do you do with all the money people give you in the plates?” While it was sometimes a hard concept for them to understand, it was also a great teaching opportunity.
As we move to the second message in our series, Pastor Rick wants us to consider why we give. Our text in 2 Corinthians is referring to money, specifically concerning a special offering that was being collected by the church. There are many lessons and truths we can learn from the passage, not only about financial giving, but giving in every area of life.
As we explore the second message in our series Money Matters, today we will consider “The Purpose Of Giving, Part 1.”
