1. No record of the MPH restored. Sad. Many times Oliver Cowdery talked about translation, but never asked him about specifics.
2. This revelation: Six elders, later 10 high priests later. These were public, and many people in same room. Curtain separating JS and OC not accurate.

a. And your minds in times past have been darkened because of unbelief, and because you have treated lightly the things you have received—Which vanity and unbelief have brought the whole church under condemnation.

And they shall remain under this condemnation until they repent and remember the new covenant, even the Book of Mormon and the former commandments which I have given them, not only to say, but to do according to that which I have written.
c. That they may bring forth fruit meet for their Father’s kingdom; otherwise there remaineth a scourge and judgment to be poured out upon the children of Zion. For shall the children of the kingdom pollute my holy land? Verily, I say unto you, Nay.

a. ETB Ch 3
i. Usually the Lord gives us the overall objectives to be accomplished and some guidelines to follow, but he expects us to work out most of the details and methods.... Today those spiritually alert look at the objectives, check the guidelines laid down by the Lord and his prophets, and then prayerfully act—without having to be commanded “in all things.” This attitude prepares men for godhood. …
ii. Sometimes the Lord hopefully waits on his children to act on their own, and when they do not, they lose the greater prize, and the Lord will either drop the entire matter and let them suffer the consequences or else he will have to spell it out in greater detail. Usually, I fear, the more he has to spell it out, the smaller is our reward.
iii. Right now, it feels like the Lord has dropped the matter, and we are suffering the consequences, even though we may not be aware of it.

1. Now, what should be the source for teaching the great plan of the Eternal God? The scriptures, of course—particularly the Book of Mormon. This should also include the other modern-day revelations. These should be coupled with the words of the Apostles and prophets and the promptings of the Spirit.
2. Are we using the messages and the method of teaching found in the Book of Mormon and other scriptures of the Restoration to teach this great plan of the Eternal God?

2. Ordinances and atonement. A version of Protestantism: walk the roman Road, Say the Sinner's Prayer, and Accept grace. Contrast that with AF3-4
3. Edging towards a feed good, but doctrinally bad message.
ii. Second Coming
1. Lifting the Condemnation of Neglect ETB
a. Are we accepting and teaching what the revelations tell us about the Creation, Adam and the fall of man, and redemption from that fall through the atonement of Christ? Do we frequently review the crucial questions which Alma asks the members of the Church in the fifth chapter of Alma in the Book of Mormon?
b. Do we understand and are we effective in teaching and preaching the Atonement? What personal meaning does the Lord’s suffering in Gethsemane and on Calvary have for each of us?
c. What does redemption from the Fall mean to us? In the words of Alma, do we “sing the song of redeeming love”? (Alma 5:26).
2. Contrast that with allusions to Superhero Movies, Fantasy books and films, fair tales, or gaining theological insights from other faiths? "Creeds an abomination"? Shifting of phraseology is a leading edge in shifting of theology. ETB and language used in the Book of Mormon.
3. This commendation is a serious thing. Bothers me neglect the condemnation of neglect. Let's lift it., for Christ's sake--that's the point.
