Documentation of a Field Execution Crime Against a Civilian – Suwayda

He was executed in the field in the Al-Khalidiya area by members of the “General Security” and “Ministry of Defense” affiliated with the de facto authority, with the participation of tribal militias loyal to the Al-Jolani transitional government, during the massacres in Suwayda.

In a horrific act that reflects the escalating violations against civilians in Suwayda Governorate, a member of the General Security affiliated with the de facto authorities deliberately killed Kamal Youssef Al-Joumani, an unarmed elderly man from the Druze community, in the Al-Khalidiyah neighborhood.

The victim, born on February 28, 1951, was a retired employee of the General Organization for Cinema. He was widely known among his neighbors and friends for his kind nature and integrity. Despite his advanced age, he became yet another victim of the unchecked violence sweeping through Suwayda.
What deepens the tragedy is that the perpetrator did not only commit the crime in cold blood but also glorified it on social media. A Facebook "story" posted by the General Security member, identified as Mohammad Idris, shows footage of the killing — a disturbing display of cruelty and impunity.
