Bedding Cycle w/ Pre-wash Option on Front Load Washer Model# WD100C-Date: 11/15/2020

In this video I show you the Bedding Cycle in real time. I also use the pre-wash option and 1 extra rinse. I washed some fleece blankets. This cycle is also for comforters. The bedding cycle is not really for things like your bed sheets and pillow cases. You can still do those on the "Normal" and Heavy Duty" cycles just fine. When I do things like these, I usually like to start out with the pre-wash option to help pre-wet the load to make sure it gets completely wet before the main wash cycle completes.

The bedding cycle uses and adds more water to the tub than the regular cycles do. It is similar to the "Towels" cycle. The bedding cycle does have one limit. You can't use the high speed spin. You can only use the medium and low speed spin options. Default is Medium Spin. Also at the end for the final spin, it only spins for 4 minutes. Depending on what you do, you may have to use the "Spin Only" option to wring out the load a bit more.

The "Bedding" and the "Towels" cycle are similar in that they fill the tub with more water. The difference between them is the "Towels" option allows you to use the high speed spin option. The "Bedding" and "Towels" option are designed to accommodate items that absorb lots of water, things such as big blankets, heavy coats and other such items which is why it fills the tub with more water. If you do big loads of laundry, the "Towels" cycle can be good because of the fact that it adds more water to the tub then the "Normal" and the "Heavy Duty" cycles do. If you look inside during the wash and rinse, the water usually fills all of the way up to just below the door opening. When using these cycles, make sure the door seal and the sealing surface on the door are clean of dirt and/or debris because it can leak easily because it fills up with so much water. A little dribble every now and then is not unusual.
