PAMPERS

To many Filipino parents, every diaper is just called “Pampers.”

But behind the household name is a story of love and innovation. In 1961, Procter & Gamble engineer Victor Mills was just a grandfather looking for a better way to care for his grandson. Frustrated with cloth diapers, he created something new: a disposable diaper that would make parenting just a little bit easier.

The brand was later named “Pampers” by creative director Alfred Goldman to reflect the feeling of pampering a baby with love and care. Over the decades, Pampers led the way with game-changing features like refastenable tapes, absorbent gel, and soft leg gathers that helped redefine baby comfort.

In 1988, Pampers arrived in the Philippines, instantly becoming a trusted partner to Filipino families. Generations grew up dry, comfy, and loved. From bulky diapers to ultra-thin wonders, Pampers quietly became a symbol of parental devotion.

Because every Pampers wasn’t just a diaper. It was a soft hug. A quiet promise. A small act of love repeated thousands of times.
