Back to My Soul

I’ve been running from myself for far too long,
Chasing echoes in a world that don’t feel like home.
Wore a smile like armor, played the part,
But nothing ever reached my heart.

Now I’m standing in the stillness of the night,
Trying to make wrong feel right—
But I know what I’ve been missing all along…
The place where I belong.

Take me back to my soul, where I feel whole,
Where the music mends what the world stole.
Let the rhythm heal, let the pain unfold,
'Cause I’m tired of feeling cold.
Don’t need fortune, don’t need gold—
Just take me back…
Back to my soul.

I remember Sunday mornings, mama’s song,
Hands on the piano, humming all day long.
She said, “Child, no matter where you roam,
Your heart will always know the road back home.”

Now her voice is like a fire in the rain,
Guiding me through all this pain.
I hear it clearer every day…
And I’m finding my way.

Take me back to my soul, where love is real,
Where I don't have to hide what I feel.
Let the groove move through my bones,
Let me know I’m not alone.
I’ve lost control—but now I know—
I’m heading back…
Back to my soul.

Strip away the noise, the pride, the fear,
Let the truth be all I hear.
No mask, no lies, no role to play—
Just me and the music lighting the way.

Take me back to my soul, to that sacred place,
Where tears and joy can share the same space.
Where silence sings, and love takes hold,
And broken hearts turn into gold.
I’ve paid the toll, now let me roll…
Back to my soul.
Back to my soul.
