Last Chance Harvest: Black & Red Currants Before the Rain!

Hello fellow gardeners! 👋 Welcome back to the garden. Today is an important harvest day as we're racing against the weather! Our mini heatwave is ending, and rain is predicted, making today the last chance to pick my abundant black and red currants.

Join me as I show you my currant bushes, laden with ripe fruit. I'll share my method for protecting them from birds (nets are a necessary evil here in the UK!), and some tips for efficient picking. It's a bit of a time-consuming job, but so rewarding when you see the haul!

I'll also discuss what I plan to do with this year's harvest (freezing is likely!), and why I love growing blackcurrants so much. Plus, a quick update on my productive week in the garden, catching up on all those essential tasks.
