I Am Chief

Paul obtained mercy from the LORD. The LORD was merciful to a blasphemer, a persecutor and injurious, praise the LORD for His mercy! Paul obtained mercy because he had sinned against the LORD in unbelief. Make no mistake here, Paul still sinned and he does not justify or excuse his sins against the Almighty God. There is a difference between sinning in ignorance and presumptuously sinning. Paul sinned in ignorance – still not an excuse – and God was merciful toward Paul because of it.
