Occam’s Razor Gardening, Cooking & Canning Ep 67

Welcome. Still many pollinators buzzing about. I will have to continue my rescue of them as the squash flowers close in on them, lopping off the top to release them.

In spite of the good dose of rain last night, the squash leaves still show some sheen from yesterday’s Turmeric spray: https://rumble.com/v6uvz6d-turmeric-garden-spray-occams-razor-gardening-cooking-and-canning.html?e9s=src_v1_ucp_a

I expect to scrape more beetle eggs off the leaves if I can find them, and I’ve given up the path between the 2 squash boxes being easily accessible. After all, there are gourds.

The carrots are healthy, even in the dense soil, the constant repositioning of the Zucchini vines provides shade on & off over them, having kept them hydrated enough before their own tops provided the same.

The bean harvest is still only a handful each day. I gotta dig up that pickled bean recipe from last year...

The inground potatoes seem to have the advantage.

The 2nd batch of onions continue to rise from the soil. Still surprising on how those dried up husks purchased in the spring lasted this long and grow again.

I have not spotted that rabbit again, but I know it’s there, ready to pounce lest I be without my Holy Hand Grenade.

Looks like a beetle either laid eggs on the front zucchini next to Butch, or a Japanese Beetle had a good munchin’.
