Ryan Melsom is an avid explorer of the relationships between technology, culture, creativity, humanity, spaces, spirituality, Zen, mindfulness, artificial intelligence, and tons more. Until this point in hisy life, these interests have been expressed through a PhD in English, a career in marketing and communications, several books, art and design projects, a black belt, and a number of entrepreneurial endeavors.

The author of a new book called Gods of a New World, out July 29th, which is a science fiction novel set in the near future. In the book, the world’s most powerful trillionaires start to think of themselves as gods. Their immense wealth, hyper-intelligent AIs, and access to everyone’s personal information allow them to control almost everything, but it’s not enough for them. They want to take over reality itself, encoding themselves in the world's very matter.
James Kessler and Maree Shell stumble upon this wild conspiracy and try to figure out if they can do anything to stop it. They’re unlikely allies, him a survivor of the Bad Times and her a daughter of incredible privilege. They know they’re out of their league, but they can’t just sit and watch the world be taken over.
