The message on July 27, 2025 was entitled “Perspectives on John” which continues looking at Apostles of the circumcision. Wayne had previously had a study on John’s Gospel which took an in depth look of John’s ministry which included eternal life for the world. When looking at the John’s Gospel leading up to 1 John, Paul talked about John being a pillar in Galatians 2:9 KJV. We learned of Nicodemus discussion of being “born again” is among the “Earthly things” (see Jn. 3:1, 4, 9; 7:50; 19:39 KJV). Jesus made a point comparing Earthly things to Heavenly things from John 3:2 KJV. So we learned there are three spheres, Earthly things, Heavenly things, and Heavenly places (Eph. 1:3, 20; 2:6; 3:10; 6:12 KJV). There is no “adoption” in John’s writings as we learned there are three callings, 1. The Elect Nation “A peculiar people”, 2. The Elect Remnant “The Bride, and 3. The One Body “peculiar people”. Israel was God’s possession (Exod. 19:5; Deut. 7:6; 14:2; 26:18; 1 Chr. 29:3; Ps. 135:4; Eccl. 2:8; Mal. 3:17 KJV). In the Mystery, we also are a “peculiar people” (Titus 2:14 KJV). Different ministries must be distinguished! (2 Peter 3:15; Galatians 2:7 KJV)

The scripture reading was from 1 John 1-10 KJV. “1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; 2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) 3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. 4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full. 5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.”
