More than 1,000 rabbis and Jewish scholars worldwide have publicly accused Israel of weaponizing hunger in Gaza through severe restrictions on humanitarian aid. They signed an open letter urging Israel to allow extensive humanitarian relief into Gaza while preventing diversion to Hamas. The letter warns that withholding food, water, and medical supplies contradicts core Judaic values and declares the Jewish people face a grave moral crisis. The rabbis demand urgent efforts to secure the release of hostages and an end to the fighting in the enclave.
