Portion of M-22 to get designation

A stretch of M-22 in Leelanau County may soon have a new sign honoring the patriotism and sacrifice of a group of Native American soldiers who served in the Civil War. State Senator John Damoose is working to honor them with Senate Bill 41, which proposes dedicating a portion of M-22 as the Company K Civil War Memorial Highway.
