Fantastic Four Just Lost the Battle of July and It's Not Even Close

Fantastic Four: First Steps is the best Marvel movie in years, which doesn't mean much, and according to the box office receipts, it means even less to the audience. In the battle of the big releases in July, Marvel's First Family comfortably finished in third place on its opening weekend. Superman clowns it at the Domestic Box Office and Jurassic World Rebirth takes the World Wide, all that they have left to lay claim to is being the highest grossing Marvel movie of the year. Unless it has the legs of Superman, this is going to be a dire year for the MCU and it's a long time before they can get a win under their belt.
