Israeli Rights Groups Break Silence, Call Gaza Assault a Genocide

Two of Israel’s most prominent human rights organisations, B’Tselem and Physicians for Human Rights, have issued a powerful joint statement accusing the Israeli government of orchestrating a genocidal campaign against Palestinians in Gaza.

The groups warned of a regime that is not only committing war crimes but systematically working to dismantle Palestinian society through mass starvation, displacement, and the targeted destruction of Gaza’s healthcare system.

For the first time, these Israeli institutions have used the term "genocide" to describe their own government’s actions, an admission that aligns with what much of the world, especially in the Global South, has been screaming for months.
