We're Not Doing It For Appreciation

Why do you really do it?

The workout, the early morning, the extra work after everyone has clocked out. If you’re doing it for a thank you, a pat on the back, or to reach some finish line where you can finally say you've arrived, you've already lost.

That’s the ego talking, and it builds a man dependent on the validation of others instead of the conviction of himself.

A man who leads understands discipline is a daily act of service, not a performance for applause.

He does the work because it's who he IS, not for what it gets him. He knows the title father isn't a crown you wear. it's a standard you earn by what you do TODAY.

Forget arriving. The man your family needs is built in the fire of your daily actions
